Principle 8: Look for the good in your child
There is something good in every person. Like digging for gold, you remove tons of dirt. But you don’t go in the quarry looking for the dirt. You get in there looking for the gold. Dig for the gold not the dirt in your child. What you praise is more likely to flourish that what you condemn.
Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it. It’s nice to be important, but it’s more important to be nice. When you point out the strengths in your child, by default, you help them realize the weak areas that they need to work on.
Q. Are you a gifted fault finder?
